The Raley’s Companies raised nearly $3 million for those facing food insecurity in their communities
West Sacramento, CA – The Raley’s Companies Holiday Hope Drive raised $2.96 million for local Feeding America partners in their communities. The collective effort, at Raley’s family of stores, Bashas’ family of stores and fieldTRUE, secured donations from customers and team members for local food banks. 100% of the donations stay in the local community where it was donated.
Serving communities is at the heart of The Raley’s Companies and their divisions, Raley’s, Bashas’ and fieldTRUE. Feeding America estimates at least 53 million people turn to food banks, food pantries and other private food assistance programs each year. With millions of communities facing inflation across the United States, individuals need immediate solutions to ensure they have access to complete nutrition. Due to the increased cost of purchasing food and other operational expenses, it’s even more challenging for food banks to address this crisis.
“Due to the amazing generosity of our customers, across multiple states, we raised $2.97 million for our local food banks, who are providing essential items and services to families in our communities,” said Chelsea Minor, Executive Director, Community Impact & Public Affairs, The Raley’s Companies. “Food banks are an incredible community resource, and their mission is more important than ever. We are proud to support the food banks across our company footprint!”
The Raley’s Companies purchased Bashas’ family of stores in 2021, adding to their portfolio, including Raley’s family of stores and fieldTRUE; spanning more than four states with more than 235 stores. As a modern, digitally sophisticated retail company, The Raley’s Companies is committed to quality offerings, exceptional service and dedicated to serving team members, communities and the planet.
